✅ CONFIGURE SEARCH LIBREDIRECT - Replace Google Search with SearXNG or Whoogle
1. STEP - CONFIGURATION
- CLICK the Libredirect button in the Browser extension; GO to SETTINGS;
- CLICK on Search; CHECK Enable and Show in popup;
- Graphical Interface - Choose one (SearXNG, SearX, Whoogle or LibreX).
- CLICK on Ping Instances; Choose instance (+) that has LOWEST PING (If you prefer, see what opens with automatic TOR in Brave Browser/TOR Original). Done!
- Go back to the Libredirect button in the extension; CLICK on Search. A search tab will open. Test it.
2. STEP - ACTIVATION
In Chrome/Brave:
- IR browser settings; Search Engine;
- Under Manage Search Engine, ENABLE LibRedirect is controlling this setting; ENABLE SearXNG or Whoogle;
- THEN, click on the 3 dots for the new search engine and ENABLE Default.
That's it! Do your search. Show!
In Firefox/Tor Browser/Impervious
- Go to browser settings; Search;
- Under Search Shortcuts, make sure LibRedirect is MARKED.
- Under Default Search Engine, change it to LibRedirect. Ready for use!

In Chrome/Brave:
- Go back to step 2 (ACTIVATION) above; AND ACTIVATE another search engine (Google) as default and Delete the current one.
- Change the search engine under Search in the LibRedirect settings. Check which instance has the LOWEST PING and add it.
- CLICK on the Libredirect button in the extension; GO in Search;
- With open tab of the new searcher, BACK to STEP 2; ACTIVATE new searcher that appeared and make it default. Ready for use!
In Firefox/Tor Browser/Impervious
- Change only the search engine in Search in the LibRedirect settings. Check which instance has the LOWEST PING and add it. Ready for use!.
